Whenever I’m on a swing, my spirits soar. I love to lean as far back as I can on the way back and then quickly lift up so I get that funny feeling in my tummy on the upswing. It’s my not so scary version of a rollercoaster ride; I can jump off whenever I want without fear of death.
I love the words of author Robert Louis Stevenson. “How do you like to go up in a swing? Up in the air so blue? Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing Ever a child can do!”
Luckily for me, there is a park in the sand right on Beulah Beach just down the street from the Inn. I walk down on occasion, grab a swing and let my inner child fly.

If I am ever feeling blue, I go find a swing. I refer to it as my “mood swing”. It’s my never fail cure all. Get on a swing and my mood changes instantly. I am carefree, flying with reckless abandonment; at least for a little while. When I feel better, I swing as high up as I can and then jump off into the sand, giggling like a kid.

So, here's a little free advice. If you’re ever in a mood . . . swing!
Love,
The Lady of the Lake
